Sumo celebrates the beauty of the human form. Inspired by the Japanese sport of sumo, all vases are characterized by voluminous shapes resting on slender, tapered legs. Each vase features a unique opening – from the classic narrow shape to double mouths and deeply incised designs. The Sumo collection plays with the interplay between familiar vase forms and artistic, abstract details, encouraging a re-examination of one's own perception of the vase.
The collection is designed so that each vase is a unique work of art, yet together they form a harmonious whole. As each vase is a hand-glazed natural product, slight variations in color may occur. Since the vases are not completely watertight, an insert for fresh flowers is included.
