Sumo celebrates the beauty of the human form. Inspired by the Japanese sport of sumo, all vases are characterized by voluminous forms resting on slender, tapered legs. Each vase features a unique opening – from classic, narrow mouths to double and deeply incised designs. The Sumo collection plays with the tension between familiar vase shapes and artistic, abstract details, challenging our perception of the classic vase.
The collection is designed so that each vase is a unique work of art, yet together they form a harmonious whole. As each vase is a hand-glazed natural product, slight variations in color may occur. Since the vases are not completely watertight, an insert for fresh flowers is included.
