Sumo is an homage to the beauty of the human form. Inspired by the Japanese sport of sumo, all vases in the collection are characterized by their voluminous forms, resting on slender, tapered legs. Each vase features a unique opening – from classic, narrow mouths to double and deeply incised variations. The Sumo collection plays with the interplay between familiar silhouettes and artistic, abstract details, inviting you to rediscover your own perception of the classic vase form.
Each vase has its own sculptural presence as a standalone piece, yet together they form a harmonious whole. As each vase is hand-glazed and a natural product, slight variations in color may occur. Since it is not completely watertight, a suitable insert for fresh flowers is included.
